Crescendo – God’s Vision

Over the last year, God has given us a very clear vision of what He wants us to do in the next 5 to 10 years. We call this vision “Crescendo” which we see as our opportunity/assignment to partner with Jesus Christ. It is so exciting to be involved on a daily basis in the things of God that make a difference both now and throughout all eternity.

Turning It Up

Over the last three years, we have experienced a definite Crescendo in God’s Presence and Power, resulting in growth of all our campus locations. We will focus on the inner working of Jesus Christ in our personal lives and re-examine how everyone gets to play. It will be a time of fresh outpouring through extravagant generosity.

Taking It Out

The Vineyard Church has been given a call and commission to reach outside our walls; whether we are starting new multi-site campuses, planting churches in the US or beyond our borders, reaching the lost, the sick and the poor of our communities, or living out the plan God has laid on our hearts.

The Vineyard Crescendo Vision focal points include:

1. Advancing the Kingdom

• 10.10.10 Vision is a way to reach more people in Central Illinois, the U.S. and Mexico and China/Taiwan. We have a goal of 10 multi-site campuses, 10 church plants, and 10 missionaries. While we are well on our way to reaching these goals, there is still much work to be done in these areas. We need more leaders developed and facilities in each of these areas.
• Emphasis on Children and Youth the children are not just our future but they are the Kingdom of God now. Studies have shown that there is a window of opportunity between ages 4 and 14 where 80% of people receive Jesus Christ. Making it more relevant is the face that 1/3 of the world population is currently under the age of 14. When these factors are added together, we see without a doubt that this is an important way to Advance the Kingdom.
• Focus on the Lost, Sick, & The Poor The Vineyard Church has always had a heart for the lost, the sick, and the poor. Now we want to put significant resources into making an impact in our communities through our Hope Center model.

2. Transforming Lives

• The Crescendo vision is looking at transforming lives not only in our communities but within our own church family. Our desire is for everyone that calls The Vineyard home to understand their place in the Kingdom of God as sons and daughters living fully in what God has planned for them. 

3. Campus Enhancements and Expansions

• In order for The Vineyard Church to reach our communities, it’s important that we have places within each community where we can worship God. We need a place to get refreshed and refueled to go back into our communities and bring in more people who are hurting, who need to hear and experience the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.
